This year’s plenary celebrates innovations in the study of growth and development in the 40 years since the publication of Eveleth and Tanner’s Worldwide Variation in Human Growth. The plenary features a distinguished line-up of researchers in the field including: Noel Cameron, Barry Bogin, Dana Duren, Jonathan Wells, Michelle Lampl, and Babette Zemel. Dr. Reynaldo Martorell of the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University will be the Pearl Memorial Speaker and will present “Improved Nutrition in the First 1000 Days and Adult Human Capital and Health.”
In addition to the plenary session, over 70 posters will be presented and along with four podium sessions: Evolutionary and Biocultural Perspectives on Pregnancy and Infant Feeding; Growth and Reproduction in Transitioning Environments; Immune Function, Stress, and Health Across the Lifespan; and Human Variation in the Field and in the Classroom.
