The Marriott Marquis is in downtown Atlanta, conveniently located near the Peachtree Center MARTA train stop on the North-South line which has direct service to and from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The hotel is also easily accessible via interstates 20, 75 and 85. Greyhound Bus Station is close to the hotel while Amtrak is located a few miles north on Peachtree St. The Marriott is within walking distance of many restaurants and cafes as well as popular attractions like the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site, Centennial Olympic Park, World of Coca Cola, CNN Center, Margaret Mitchell Museum, High Museum of Art, Piedmont Park and the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Under EA Quinn, our stellar Local Arrangements Chair, the HBA 2015 meeting in Saint Louis was a smash. The Plenary Session, “The Milk of Human Kindness” was highly attended and stimulated interesting discussion and plans for new collaborations, while the oral and poster sessions were among the best we have seen in many years.
