The Raymond Pearl Memorial Lecture was established in 1983 by the Human Biology Association to honor one of the great human biologists of the 20th century. The Lecture is delivered at the annual meeting by an invited scholar who has made outstanding contributions to science, followed by the presentation of a plaque commemoriating the award.
