The International Liaison Advisory Committee (ILAC) has the task of developing and expanding international networks with sister societies world-wide and of promoting Human Biology as an international science.
Simply put, the Human Biology Association wants to listen to your views and to increase international membership significantly. There is now a formal seat on the Executive Board devoted to liaison with International members (contact Catherine Panter-Brick, UK).
ILAC members are there to represent the interests of overseas members (they meet once a year at the HBA meetings). Please contact people of your choice on the committee – for instance, if you need further information about membership, meeting registration or accommodation, and manuscript publication in the journal American Journal of Human Biology (AJHB).
ILAC members offer to help those who English is not their first language with pre- viewing their manuscripts for submission to AJHB, for the purposes of checking/correcting English prose (not scientific content) before formal submission. You can contact any member of the committee, but by preference please contact the Chairperson Monica Sans.
