The standard teaching load is 2 courses per semester and could include a large introductory course, mid- to upper-level specialized courses for the major, and graduate seminars in the candidate’s specialty. We are particularly interested in candidates whose work would connect to other research units on campus such as the Carolina Population Center, the Gillings School of Global Public Health, Genome Sciences, and the Environment, Ecology, and Energy Program. Candidates should have an active lab and/or field research program. Geographical region is open but applicants whose expertise complements that of existing faculty are especially welcome.
