The Human Biology Association (HBA) is a vibrant, nonprofit scientific organization committed to advancing the understanding of human biological variation in its broadest sense. We support and disseminate innovative research and teaching that explore the intersections of biology, culture, history, society, and environment in shaping human health, development, and evolution around the world.

Founded on principles of interdisciplinary collaboration, HBA brings together a global community of scholars working across a range of fields, including anthropology, anatomy, public health, endocrinology, genetics, epidemiology, demography, nutrition, and human ecology. Our members study topics such as human growth and development, reproduction, adaptation, disease, inequality, and health disparities, using diverse methods from laboratory analysis to community-based fieldwork.

The Human Biology Association is classified as a 501(c)(3) public charity under the Internal Revenue Code, and can accept tax-deductible donations in support of our mission.

Our Mission and Commitments
